Nancy Trela Obituary

Trela, Nancy A. ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. Nancy Ann Trela, 82, formerly of Latham, beloved wife of the late John S. Trela, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 31, 2007 in St. Augustine. Born in Schenectady, N.Y. on August 1, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Edward F. and Mary (Curran) Collins. She graduated from the College of St. Rose with a degree in nursing. She worked for many years with the Visiting Nurses Association of Troy, and was a distinguished member of the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing. She was a communicant of St. Anastasia Church in St. Augustine and former communicant of Our Lady of the Assumption Church in Latham. Nancy is survived by her loving children, Patricia (Ben) Gregory of Clifton Park and Brian J. (Dawn) Trela of St. Augustine. She cherished in her heart the memory of her son, John C. "Jack" Trela, who preceded her in death. She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren, Brid-gette (John) Frost, Stephanie Trela, Brian Trela, Matthew (Shira) Gregory, Rob (Erin) Gregory, Kelly (Chris) Wiseman, Peter Trela, and Maggie Trela; and six precious great-grandchildren and her daughter-in-law, Kathy Trela. Funeral services will take place on Monday, November 5 at 10:00 a.m. from Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 498 Water-vliet-Shaker Road, Latham, where Nancy's Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Rev. Geoffrey Burke. Relatives and friends are invited to call Sunday, November 4 at the Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home, 149 Old Loudon Rd., Latham from 2-5 p.m. Interment will take place in Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Colonie at the convenience of the family.
