My condolences to Julian's family. I was sadden to read this news in the Times Union. I worked with Julian at KZ in Schenectady, NY. He was a great guy and had a infectious laugh and was very talented. I'm sure he will be missed by many of those he touched.

I offer my deepest condolences to Julian's family. I was a classmate of Julian from grade 5 through 12 at Athens Elementary and Coxsackie Athens Jr.-Sr. H.S. I've spent many hours at his home in our youth. Although we lost touch after our senior year, I've often thought of him and wondered how his DJ career was progressing after he left the Capital District.

It is so sad to lose yet another classmate at such a young age!

Julian, you will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved you.

Julian knew me as John Jamiolkowski, even though I legally changed my name almost a decade ago and he never knew anything about it. I went to Coxsackie-Athens elementary and junior high school with Julian in the early to mid-70's. Fast friends and drumming buddies from the very beginning, I was drawn to Julian's smile, his infectious laugh whenever we goofed off in class, and the reality of his friendship. When our family moved from Coxsackie, NY to Louisville, KY in the late 70's, I missed Julian a lot -- but we did stay in touch. I last saw Julian 27 years ago in October of 1980, when I was a freshman at Manhattanville College in Purchase, NY and he was attending Hunter College in NYC. I spent the weekend in the city with Julian, and we had a riot of a time! Sadly, I went on to a life of rocky roads and trials unwanted, falling out of touch with so many people, Julian included. The memories of his friendship remain special to me, and I pray that God knew him in a way so many other people did. How could you not love Julian? I called him "Ringo" because our love for playing the drums. He was my friend. Julian, if you see Musial in your new travels, tell him I miss him, too. You both left too early, too young. To his family and friends who knew him with more depth, I grieve with you and pray for the Lord to grant you all peace.

I am so sorry to hear of the loss of this greatly talented, and very fun man. It was a pleasure to work with Julian at WPYX.

I'll never forget the day Julian removed every item from Cliff Nash's desk and replaced each item with a photocopy; the phone, stapler, pens, paperclips, family photos, the blotter...everything.
Cliff didn't exactly see the comedic value, making it even more fun for Julian.

Julian will never be forgotten.

Julian and I worked at PYX so many years ago. He was so much fun, great talent to be around, a perfect ear for production and a wonderful voice on the air. Every time I roll old tape from goofing around in the prod studio - I always laugh and smile. He gave us all a genuine gift, the opportunity to know him.
