Josh and Matthew, I am so sorry. I never got to know your Mom personally, only by email, and just in the past few years. I don't know if this messege will get back to you. I did not know you could leave a condolence on this page. When my brother Bill had sent it to me, I saved the page. I wish I could of gotten to know her. There was so much life ahead of her. I have done alot of geneology on the Lare family if you should ever want to know more.

Josh and Matthew – A true angel of God brought you into this world. An angel, whose selflessness, joy, love and compassion lives on in your life and in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to be in her presence. Every soul that entered into Karen’s life she adopted as her own. She believed in me and nurtured me in my career and gave me so much hope and confidence.
As a minister of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, I am certain that Karen Lare heard the words that very few church goers will hear.
“Well done, thy good and faithful servant: you have been faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things: enter into the Joy of the Lord”

Autumn of her life
Mem'ry of wit and laughter
Echoes of Karen
She brought her vast intelligence and abundant compassion to everything she did. Her colleagues became her friends, her friends became her family. By the time we met at Goldman Sachs in the early 90's, her sons were grown but she always spoke of them with love so deep and fierce that it left no doubt of the special place she held in her great heart for them.
This family, this circle of friends, this world has lost an irreplaceable woman.

Karen was a friend, a neighbor, my manager for a time. She was funny, generous, and did whatever she could to make the lives of others flow more smoothly. She did not want anyone to hurt or suffer.
Josh and Matt, she loved you both so much. Karen's death is a terrible loss. I am very sorry.
