Raymond Peterson Obituary

Peterson, Raymond B. WATERFORD Raymond B. Peterson, 84, of South St., died Sunday November 11, 2007 at Northwoods Adult Home. Born in Albany, Ray was raised at the St. Coleman's Home Community and LaSalle School for Boys. He was the husband of the late Julia "JuJu" Reo Peterson, who died last year and to whom he had been married for 57 years. Ray had retired from Siena College in Loudonville in 1989 and later worked at Specialty Silicone Products Co. in Ballston Spa. He was a communicant of St. Mary of the Assumption Church in Waterford. He enjoyed bingo, vacationing in Hampton Beach and being a sports spectator. He is survived by his daughter, Barbara Schwartz and her husband Michael of Waterford; his grandchildren, Stephanie Pakatar of Waterford, Michele Daus (Taylor) of Stillwater and his great-grandchildren, Shane Pakatar, Sara, Amy and Emily Daus. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews and his canine companion, Molly. Funeral services will be Wednesday at 9 a.m. from the Philip J. Brendese Funeral Home, 133 Broad St. (Rt. 32), Waterford and at 9:30 a.m. at St. Mary of the Assumption Church. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Waterford. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday 4-8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital in care of the funeral home office.
