William Gadomski Obituary

Gadomski, William J. LOUDONVILLE William J. Gadomski, age 84, entered into eternal life Sunday, November 11, 2007 surrounded by his family. Born in Albany, he was a life long area resident. Before retiring in 1990, he was employed as a machinist for the Watervliet Arsenal and then he worked for N.Y. Central Railroad at West Albany Shops as an ironworker. Bill was a World War II U.S. Navy veteran serving in the North Atlantic, Mediterranean, and Middle East Pacific. He was a member of the V.F.W., the Joseph E. Zaloga Post #1520 American Legion, and the Polish American Community Center. He was an avid golfer after retirement and enjoyed fishing. Son of the late Konstanty and Emilia Zaleski Gadomski. Beloved companion of Betty Laz; loving father of Eugene M. Gadomski and his wife Esther of Columbia, Md., Susan Caviello and her husband Edward of Jacksonville, Fla. and the late Paul M. Gadomski and his wife Diane; cherished brother of Henry Gadomski, Clara Gardner, Helen McDonnell, Theresa Kapela, the late Adam, Joseph, Ignatius, Stanley, Alex Gadomski, Jenny Zelker, Mary Restifo, Pauline Youzwak, Bernice Gadomski, and Sr. Agatha (Lenore). He is also survived by four grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held in the Lasak & Gigliotti Funeral Home, 8 Dudley Heights, (Northern Blvd), Albany Thursday at 9 a.m. and 10 o'clock in the Church of St. Francis de Sales, 1 Maria Drive, Loudonville. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend and may also call at the funeral home Wednesday, 4 to 7 p.m. Interment will be in Our Lady of Angels Cemetery, Colonie.

to the gadomski family iwould like to give my condolences to your family. i have grown attached to bill over the years at the melvin roads post bingo on monday nights. he was always smiling and joking with everyone. he used to come and talk to me and my mom all the time. i am very sorry that he is gone and that he will be greatly missed.rosemary berghela
