Randall Winne Obituary

Winne, Randall D. COEYMANS Randall D. Winne, 84, son of the late Barbara and Arthur Winne entered eternal peace on Wednesday, November 14, 2007 suddenly at his residence. Beloved husband of the late Shirley D. Winne with whom he celebrated his 60 anniversary in August of this year; adored father of Barbara Winne and her fianc? Henry Michelin of Ravena, Wayne Winne of Deposit and Laurie Yanni and her husband Marc Yanni of Ravena; cherished "Poppy" of Sarah and Shelby Yanni; devoted brother of Velma Boyd of New Baltimore, Clifton Winne of Ravena, Fay Sager of West Coxsackie and the late Douglas Winne of New Baltimore. Randall was born and raised in Cedar Hill, N.Y. and graduated from Coeymans High School in 1941. He served in the United States Navy from 1943 to 1946. Randall was a chemical operator's foreman at Sterling Drug Company from which he retired in 1985. Randall was a proud Celtics fan, avid gardener, cook "extraordin-aire", devout trout fisherman and a great high school basketball and baseball player. Funeral services for Randall will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, November 17 at the Babcock Funeral Home, Ravena. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. Contributions in Randall's memory may be made to the Coeymans Ladies Fire Auxiliary, Shirley D. Winne Scholarship Fund, P.O. Box 46, Coeymans, NY 12045.
