Michael Curran Obituary

Curran, Michael J. BALLSTON LAKE Michael J. Curran, 94, of East Side Drive, died Monday, November 19, 2007 at home. Mr. Curran was a member of the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 106. He was the oldest living member of the union, belonging since 1939. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral, which will begin Saturday morning at 9:45 at the Gleason Funeral Home, 730 Union Street, Schenectady and at 10:30 at St. John the Evangelist Church, where the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Calling hours will be Friday from 3:00 until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery, Niskayuna. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 260 Osbourne Rd., Albany, NY 12211 or to the Community Hospice of Schenectady, 1411 Union St., Schenectady, NY 12308.

We were saddened to read the news of Mike's passing. He lived a good long life. We have many good memories of Mike in the Hibernians and in Local 106. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you at this time.

As years and memories flow by, so many thoughts come to mind. But the one that I remember most is the family that weathered time through thick and thin.
Mr. Curran, you have left this portion of your family on earth knowing they are all well and safe with each other, so now you may join the others who have been waiting for you.
God bless you and remember what a big difference you made in many peoples lives. Rest in peace.
