Joseph J. Halleck Sr.

Halleck, Joseph J. E. NASSAU Joseph J. Halleck Sr., 90, of E. Nassau died Sunday, November 25, 2007, at his residence, after a brief illness. Born in Castleton, N.Y. and was chief colorist for B. A. S. F. in Rensselaer, prior to his retiring several years ago. He was emeritus senior of the American Association of Textile Chemists and Colorists. He was a member of the E. Schodack Garden Club, and a member of the Old Timers Club with G.A.F. Joseph was an Army veteran of World War II. Predeceased by his wife, Dolores B. (Sangmaster) Halleck, and a daughter, Mary A. Halleck. Survivors include four daughters, Joann Halleck-Finley, Jean Marie Romano, Sandra Paproski, and Carol Lindell, a son, Joseph J. Halleck Jr.; and one sister, Rose Marvin. Also survived by many beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral, 7 p.m. Wednesday, from the Rockefeller Funeral Home, 165 Columbia Tpk., Rensselaer, N.Y. Friends may call in the funeral home on Wednesday from 4-7 p.m. prior to the service. Interment will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Schodack, at the convenience of the family. The family has requested that those who wish to remember Joseph, make contributions to Community Hospice of Rensselaer County, 295 Valley View Road, Rensselaer, NY 12144, in his memory.
