Grace Levins

Levins, Grace GREEN ISLAND Grace Robinson Levins, 91, of Green Island, died Monday, November 26, 2007 at the Eddy Heritage House in Troy. She was wife of the late W. Matthew Levins, who served as mayor of the village of Green Island in the 1970s. Grace was born in Troy, daughter of the late William and Mary Daley Robinson, and lived in Green Island most of her lifetime. She was a graduate of Catholic Central High School, a communicant of St. Joseph's Church in Green Island and a member of its altar-rosary society. She was also a member of the Green Island Columbiettes and the former Mother's Club of St. Joseph's School in Green Island. Survivors include her beloved daughter, Ellen Levins; and her nephews, William (Mary Ellen) Robinson of Cohoes and James Robinson of Hong Kong. Grace was predeceased by her brothers George and James Robinson; and her sister, Sister Marie Consalata Robinson, CSJ. Funeral services, led by Father Donald Kelly, will be held on Friday at 11:00 a.m. at the McNulty Funeral Home, 147 Hudson Avenue, Green Island. Calling hours will be from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. prior to the services. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery in Troy.
