Casey, Michael J. EAST GREENBUSH Michael J. Casey, 57, entered peacefully into eternal life at home surrounded by his loving family Monday, November 26, 2007 after a long battle with cancer. (Horan) Casey of 37 years; a daughter, Christina Hennessy and son-in-law Joseph Hennessy of East Greenbush. Mike was a loving "Papa" to three grandchildren, Loren Rene, Derek Joseph, and Justin Michael Hennessy; two sisters, Katherine Peluso of East Greenbush and Margaret Beaulair and two brothers, Patrick and Joseph Casey, both of Rensselaer. Mike is also survived by many loving family members. Relatives and friends may call in the funeral home on Friday, November 30 from 4-8 p.m. Those who wish to attend the funeral services are welcome on December 1 at 10 a.m. from the Rockefeller Funeral Home, 165 Columbia Tpk., Rensselaer. Chrissy & Sissy,
I am so sorry to hear of Mike's passing. He was a great man who tolerated alot when we were crazy teenagers and never got upset with us. I'll always remember the good times on second street, trips to the Menands McDonald's, the time he ran over Megan's foot, lol and many other good memories. My prayers are with you and your family. God bless.

To Sissy, Crissy and the Family,
I want to convey my sorrow for your loss of "Lil Mike". He was my neighbor for eleven years and there was nothing that Mike would not do for me and my family. He played with the kids, he helped us fix things, and he had all kinds of connections in the community. He was my own personal pool guy. We would talk for hours in his garage. He was a great guy. He was a true friend. You will be missed my man.
May God bless you and the rest of the family in your time of sorrow.

Dear Sissy: My heart truly goes out to you and your family. Mike was a great guy. I knew for sure how big his heart was when he came to Eddie's wake and I saw how devastated he was at Ed's loss. Ed considered him a good friend. We had lots of good conversations and laughs. Remember the American Steel clambakes. And both Ed and I agreed that the best wine we ever tasted was the bottle that Mike dropped off to us personally at the house. I know that the world will be a lonlier place with out your dear hubby. God Bless you. Love, Ginge.

Sissy, Chrissy and Family:
How very saddened I was to read of Mike's passing. I had only recently heard that Mike was not doing very well and I struggled with the idea of contacting you to offer my support but also knew that this was family time after losing a family member to cancer in June. I have many fond memories of some wild and crazy Friday nights at your house. You always made me feel welcome and I knew we would all become fast friends. Although time and space have come between us, please know that you are all never far from my thoughts and prayers. I also know that Mike is finally at peace and is in the company of family and friends who have gone before him and who had the red carpet out for his arrival. Rest in peace my friend.
