Dr. Peller was kind enough to let me follow him around the hospital on rounds and observe his surgeries at Aultman hospital when I was a college student interested in medicine in the late 70's and early 80's. He taught me so very much and I still remember some of his "medical pearls" some 30 years later and repeat them to my medical students and residents. He was a generous man and one of the reasons I became a surgeon.

Hal met Charlie in AHS and belonged to a number of clubs w/ him. Both were members of Mu Sigma Hi school fraternity..Many nice discussions ensued and a life long bond of friendship was forged.. When the Korean war came along ,both Charlie and Hal were inducted into the USNAVY Charles served almost 4 years and Hal almost 3....Both were bunk mates serving as corpsmen at the US Naval hosp.in St.Albans,NY during `1952-1953 .We were billeted together sharing ( a very small room) HM3 quarters there. We never had a cross word bwetween us and Charlie was Hal's first pal to meet Sabina when they started dating in May,1952-- we were a happy threesome on many a occasion.Charlie went on to meet Sherrie while stationed here after Hal had been discharged .. We continued our life long friendship ,even thou separated by many miles. Many phone calls and letters were transmitted during the course of the years.. We got to visit The Peller's after Charlie retired from his thorasic surgeon practice and moved to Ann Arbour. What wonderful hosts the pellers were.It was a magical week-- We got to go to the Spoiletto music Festival in Charleston,SC, and what a enchanted few days that was.Charlie had a great appreciation for the arts, which spread over those who knew him well... Hal spoke to Charlie 2 weeks by phone before his passing, and he was his quiet resigned ,self assured beautiful self , asking about how I was and Sibby and our family ( always did this when we called)Charlie will always be alive in our hearts as long as we live. A cherished and endearing friend, that we can NEVER forget.. Life goes on , but we are deminished in being, knowing we can no longer hear his sweet ,measured, and always reassuring voice..with love-- Sibby and Hal seitz

We have many fond memories of spending time with Charlie and Sherri in Canton. He was a fine, dedicated surgeon - many people are alive and well in Canton, Ohio, thanks to his skills.
He will be missed by all who he "touched" over the years.
Please accept our condolences.

Dear Mrs. Peller and family,
I want to send you my deepest sympathy on the death of your husband, Dr. Peller. I know that he will be greatly missed by many, and I join everyone in sharing your grief during this difficult time.
I have such fond memories of the Peller family when coming to Rizos Steakhouse for dinner. My father always enjoyed your little visit's in the kitchen for conversation and some feta cheese.
Please know that I have you in my thoughts and prayers.
Fondly,
Connie Rizos Guist
