Harold Allen Obituary

Allen, Harold C. PALM COAST, Fla. Harold C. Allen, age 78, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 2, 2007 at Heartland Hospice House. Harold was born in Mechanicsville, N.Y. and lived in the Albany area before retiring to Fla. He was a proud veteran in the Army serving with the 24th Constabulary Squadron Tank Division in Fulda Germany. He was a New York Teamster. Harold enjoyed spending time outdoors and loved golf. He was a very kindhearted and generous person who was always ready to help anyone in need. Harold was preceded in death by his parents, George and Marion Allen; first wife, Elsbeth Allen; brothers, Kenneth and Frank; and sister, Mae. He is survived by his second wife, Barbara and his son, Richard T. Allen. A memorial service will be held at Craig Funeral Home in Palm Coast, at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Harold C. Allen may be made to Heartland Hospice House, The Stockton Building, 261 Chapman Road, Suite 100, Newark, DE 19702. Richie,,,my sympathy to your family, your father's brother, Frank, was my brother-in-law, I met you all when you came from Germany. Harold was a soft spoken man and your mother and I were friendly in later years. I am sorry for your loss and that we have not been in contact. You have cousins here in Albany - they would love to hear from you.
