Mary Cervera Obituary

Cervera, Mary Jane AMSTERDAM, N.Y. Mary Jane DeStefano Cervera, 96, of Lindbergh Avenue, passed away Tuesday morning, December 4, 2007 at St. Mary's Hospital after a brief illness. A lifelong Amsterdam resident, she and her late husband Alfonso owned and operated the former Cervera's Pharmacy for a number of years. She was an active community member and a parishioner of St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church. She is survived by her son, Frank A. Cervera and his wife Winifred of Amsterdam who is state coordinator of the Knights of Columbus Charitable and Benevolent Program. Her late husband also served the order as chairman of the capitol and upstate conferences. Calling hours are today from 4-7 p.m. at the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Avenue. Services are Thursday at 10:45 a.m. at the funeral home, followed by a con-celebrated Mass at 11:30 a.m. at St. Michael's Church. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery. Contributions may be made to St. Mary's Institute, Upper Church Street, Amsterdam, NY 12010. Please visit the family's guest book at www.brbsfuneral.com
