Martha Staring Obituary

Staring, Martha E. TROY Martha Perkins Staring, 57, of Jackson Street, died Sunday, December 2, 2007 at St. Mary's Hospital. Born in Troy, she was the daughter of the late John A. Perkins and Jacquelyne K. Curran Perkins and step daughter of the late Lorraine Bulson Perkins. Raised and educated in Troy, she was a graduate of Troy High School. Martha was a clerk with the New York State Retirement System. Survivors include a son, Parker John Staring of Denver, Colo.; her former husband, Gilbert R. Staring Jr. of Troy; a sister, Jennifer Anne Perkins of Wynantskill; three nieces, Therese Desmond, Jessica Judkins and Jacquelyne Babbitt and a nephew, Edward J. Perkins. Martha was predeceased by a sister, Janice M. Perkins. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial service in celebration of her life at the Gardner Earl Memorial Chapel at Oakwood Cemetery on Saturday, December 8, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. To send a condolence message, please visit www.mcloughlinmason.com

Dear Martha's Family,
I am so sorry to hear of Martha's passing. I had the privilege and pleasure of working with her for a short time at Phoenix Insurance Co. She was a joy to be with and always kept us laughing and smiling.

Just want to say I'm very sorry for your loss, Marth was such a gentle and kind sole.I worked with Martha, she was the one who trained me to do the job I'm in now @ the retirement system. I will always remember her by her smile and her kind heart.
