Dorothy Pasquini Obituary

Pasquini, Dorothy A. COLONIE Dorothy A. Pasquini, 78, of Colonie, passed away on December 4, 2007 at Our Lady of Mercy Life Center following a long illness. Originally from Roanoke, Va., Dorothy moved north to Conn. before the Second World War and later relocated to Albany. It was here that she met John - her lifelong soul mate and husband. Together, they celebrated 51 years of marriage before his passing on the same date in 2003. In addition to being a homemaker, Dorothy also worked for Tobin's First Prize processing plant and later for the County of Albany. Dorothy enjoyed driving, going out, playing bingo and watching her favorite television shows and movies. Just like her husband, she was also a fan of the New York Yankees. Above all else, however, Dorothy especially enjoyed spending time with her beloved grandchildren. She is survived by her son, Joseph and his wife Kathleen; two grandchildren, Matthew and Eric; and her brother, Paul. She is predeceased by her husband John as well as her sisters, Ruby and Virginia. The Pasquini family would like to thank the staff of Our Lady of Mercy Life Center, especially the staff and friends of the Rosary Unit, for the compassionate and professional care that Dorothy received as a resident. Funeral services will be Monday at 10:00 a.m. at New Comer-Cannon Family Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155 - south of Central Ave). Calling hours for family and friends will be Sunday from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be held in the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery in Schuylerville. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to Activities Administration, Our Lady of Mercy Life Center, 2 Mercycare Lane, Guilderland, NY 12084.
