Eleanore Clark Obituary

Clark, Eleanore J. MALTA, N.Y. Eleanore J. Clark, 94, of Rockrose Way in Malta, died on Wednesday, December 5, 2007 at her residence. She was born on October 24, 1913 in Syracuse, N.Y. and was the daughter of the late Hendrick and Ellen Dorsey Hekkema. Eleanore was an avid baseball fan of the Montreal Expos and the Boston Red Sox, as well as an avid bingo player at Highpoint in Malta. Prior to marriage, she owned a dance studio in New York City and, once married, she enjoyed being a homemaker. She was the beloved wife of the late Herbert E. Clark, whom she married September 19, 1940, and celebrated over 50 years of marriage until his passing on August 24, 1993. She was the loving mother of Donald P. (Patricia) Clark of Ballston Lake, N.Y. and Dianne Clark of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; grandmother of Nicole Diaz, Melissa Clark, Loren Clark, Jaclyn Clark, great grandmother of Austin Dempsey and Logan Diaz. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Eleanore was predeceased by her sister, Doedina Arti, and brothers, Hadley and Harry Hekkema. Memorial services will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday at the Gordon C. Emerick Funeral Home, 1550 Route 9, Clifton Park. A calling hour will precede the service beginning at 2 p.m.
