Robert Kalteux Obituary

Kalteux, Robert J. SEMINOLE, Fla. Robert J. Kalteux, 49, died unexpectedly on December 7, 2007 at home. Born in Troy on September 28, 1958, he was a son of William P. Kalteux, Sr. and Judith Leicht Kalteux. Raised in Watervliet he graduated from St. Brigid's Grammar School and attended Watervliet High School before graduating from Bishop Maginn High School in Albany. In his early years, he worked at Luigi's, his family's diner, in Watervliet. He later moved to Florida and resided in Chicago for four years before returning to Florida in 1991. He was the owner of "Backstreet Bobs" Restaurant in Treasure Island, Florida for four years and, more recently, worked as a cook for several other restaurants. He was the husband of Sheila Donofrio Kalteux; devoted father of Robert William, David Michael and Nicholas Gene Kalteux all of Seminole, Fla.; dear brother of Kelly (Jim) Leach of Latham, Joseph (Lisa) Kalteux of Menands and the late Brian P. "Clem" Kalteux and William P. "Billy" Kalteux. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Funeral from the Parker Bros. Memorial, 2013 Broadway, Watervliet on Saturday at 11:15 and at 12 noon in St. Brigid's Church, Watervliet where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Interment will follow in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Watervliet. Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the funeral home on Friday from 5 until 8 p.m. In appreciation for the care and support given to Robert's family in recent days, the family suggests donations be made to the Hospice of the Florida Suncoast, 5771 Roosevelt Blvd, Clearwater, FL 33760.
