I am so sorry that this is so late, Doug Fox here, I grew up with you and your dad was the extra eyes for my mom and dad when running the streets of the Burgh, none of us could ever get away with anything since all our parents knew each other. I miss home but I have a photo in my mind of our lives in the 60's.70's and that is the memory I want, the faces never get old, the bodies never fail and I can still see the smiles on their faces. That is how I remember your dad. My heartfelt sympathy and prayers for you all.

To The Family of Marty Mahar,
Marty and I spent numerous hours at the Health Spa a number of years ago , cooking in the steam & suana rooms discussing many world events. These were very memorable times for me as a War Hero spoke of the current issues of that time. 10/11 has written in History, that we have lost yet another Great American. It is something I shall never forget, and I am very grateful to have been able to call your father , Friend.

I just today (10/16/07) heard the sad news. I remember fondly your fathers daily visit to my house. I always thought he was a GIANT OF A MAN. I was in awe of him when I was a small child and that imagine didnt change after all the years. Last time I saw him we talked fondly about Mickey (who I walked to school with during our time at CCHS).
