Henrietta Little Obituary

LITTLE Henrietta J (Witte) Henrietta J. (Witte) Little, formerly of Toledo, died Monday, March 10, 2008, in Tecumseh, MI at the age of 90. She was born in Toledo, Ohio to George and Clara (Overbeck) Blessing on August 31, 1917. Her memberships included the Zenobia Shrine Chanterette's, the Westchester Dance Club, the Libbey Club and Epworth United Methodist Church. Henrietta was an avid gardener who passed on her love of flowers to her daughters. She maintained life-long friendships with many girlfriends and formed new, cherished relationships with many others through Shrine activities with her husband, Sherman. They traveled extensively throughout the world and when not traveling, danced on weekends often winning awards. Henrietta was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Wilbert Witte; second husband, Sherman Little; daughter, Carol Allen; brother, Harold Blessing and sister, Ruth Krise. She is survived by her daughter, Sharon (Frank) Dugan; son, Thomas (Joan) Little; son-in-law, Bryant Allen; grandchildren, Jeffrey (Pam) Allen, Michelle (John) Mitchell, Aimee (Bryan) Bucher, Christopher (Jill) Dugan, 9 great-grandchildren; 3 nieces and 4 nephews. Visitation will be held at the Foth-Dorfmeyer Mortuary, 3815 Sylvania Ave., on Friday, March 14, 2008, after 10 a.m. with funeral services to follow at 1 p.m. with her nephew, Rev. Bryan Bucher officiating. Interment Ottawa Hills Memorial Park. The family suggests memorial contributions to a Special Garden Project at Tecumseh Place II, 1309 Southwestern Drive., Tecumseh, MI 49286.

She was my favorite aunt. Living so far away made it hard to see her very often. I always called when I could. I remembered when our daughter died she wanted to know why God did not take her instead of Denise. I know she is at rest now. I pray God will take care of her. I know she will be missed by all. All our love to the family.
