Hi Kevin,

I learned of your passing only a few years ago not long after we relocated and I´d reconnected with some old friends, thinking I´d do the same with you. My heart broke to learn you had gone to be with God. I couldn´t quite bring myself to leave a message here, though I started more than once. Look at you, leaving me speechless - something you were never able to do when we were in college! :)

Though the years had passed, I still considered you my same old friend from the dorms, apartments, group classes, and late nights grabbing some horrible food (pizza, Mexican? You name it) on our group´s way home from a weekend night out...food you would lecture us on regarding the nutritional (lack thereof) value during the week but allowed a blind eye to on the weekends. We are literally driving through Tucson now on 1-10 not far from campus in our way to visit my folks and our siblings for Christmas and it seemed (finally) like the right time to say something.

Your friendship meant the world to me. I always felt I had an older brother who always had my back and trusted he knew I had his. Countless walks to classes, late night chats in common areas, sporting events, getting Eric to drive us anywhere and everywhere in his Fiero (or was it an MR2...he will be so annoyed at me lol). And the laughs. The many, many laughs, smiles, high fives and hugs.

It sounds like Jodie and the kids are doing great although I cannot begin to imagine how much they miss you.

Godspeed, my friend. Until we meet again.

They are such good kids. Jodie is doing an amazing job with them. Thinking of you and all you've missed out on. Much love.

I'm an old friend from the neighborhood when we went to Parkland Junior High. I came back to see you when I got out of boot camp (USMC). I learned of you joining the core and new you would do great things with your life. I'm sorry I never got a chance to meet you with your wife and kids. I was looking for you online to say hi and maybe get together for old times sake, but I found this instead. Sorry your gone buddy, I miss you. May god look upon your family and bless them with comfort that one day you will be together again.

Our friend "Kevo":

We're so sorry you are gone. You were always such an upbeat and funny guy! You always said we'd have kids and you'd give me a hard time. Well I have one now, I'm sorry you didn't get the chance to know him. I'll tell him all about you though. Thanks for all the memories. May you, Jodie, McKenna and Dalton find peace. “A Part of the Team You’ll Always Be”

Oh, dear Kevin, where did you go?

Your Novartis team is missing you so.

We really need our quarterback,

Your knowledge and patience we’ll surely lack.

A marine you were, so proud and strong.

Why did you leave us, what went wrong?

The nicest guy you were to us all.

The offices you visit will miss your call.

Your crew cut hair was a style all your own.

And we all know how you never liked to “stay” on your phone.

Goodbye, dear friend, till we see you again,

Our quarterback, our co-worker and especially our friend.

We’ll think of you often and hope that you’ll see

“A part of the team you’ll always be.”

Love from,

Your Novartis Teammates”

Kevin,

I miss your comradship every day, your wit, your friendship. You were a man of fine character and admired by so many.

I hope you are at peace and content to know that so many carry you in their hearts.

My heart breaks for you and your familys loss.

I was so saddened when Lesley Montano called me and told me the news. Although I left the industry over a year ago, Lesley told me that Kevin asked how I was doing from time to time. I knew Kevin for several years in the pharm industry, although we worked for different companies, but he was such a joy to see when we wait like eternity in the lobbies. He always had a bright smile, honest, hard working and truly a terrific person and rep. He was always very proud of his family, and loved being a father. He was a great marine, and a great guy all around. I am proud to have the pleasure to known him and call him a friend. From the attendance with all the reps at his memorial, he will truly be missed as a colleague and friend.

Dear Kevin,

I cannot begin to tell you how devistated I was when I heard the news. Sometimes it is difficult to find words to express our feelings. My heart is saddened. I will never forget you. It was so much fun having you on our Novartis team. You will never know how much more fun you made our time together. I can still see you smiling and can almost hear your laughter. We were so crazy and goofy, especially after a few days of meetings. I cannot think of anyone else on the team who always knew what was going on and always had an answer. Kevin, you will be greatly missed!!!! I am glad I had the opportunity to know you and become your friend!!!! My thoughts and prayers are with your family!

You will be sorely missed Kevin. Your sense of humor, smile, and laughter are the things I will remember about you. The memories of the times spent with you and Jodie will be some of my most precious. The funniest time I remember is when you and Jodie were in Nebraska and a HUGE snow storm hit. Joe and I made it your apartment, we cooked a huge breakfast, and then went outside in the storm. We looked like South Park people!! I will chose to remember you with that laughter and smiles we shared that awful Nebraska day. Rest in peace Kevin. Peace to you Jodie, McKenna, and Dalton. You are always in my thoughts and heart.

Dear Kevin,

It's been a full week now since I first received the news, and I'm still as dumbfounded and at a loss for words. I hope you are now at peace. We are all devasted by your sudden passing. I wish I had been home Saturday to answer the phone when you called.

We've been friends since 2nd grade when I moved into the neighborhood. I hope you know that I always valued and treasured that friendship. You are the reason I ended up in Phoenix to begin with. When I was in boot camp and making my "wishlist" of bases, I picked Tucson, Phoenix, and Albuquerque because I knew I'd have at least 1 friend relatively nearby. I grew to love the southwest as much as you did, and after this last trip out to say goodbye, I've discovered a new love of the Tucson area. So much for our endless arguements of Phoenix vs. Tucson! I guess you finally won that one.

I'm rambling now....just know you are loved like a brother and will be deeply missed.

Love,

Matt, Linda, Amber, & Danielle Dubois

I find my self at a complete loss for words, but my strongest and most heart felt condolences go out to Jodie, McKenna and Dolton Harrington.

I will always remember our various road trips from Tucson to Los Angeles, the time you went up to Phoenix with me for State, and our trip out here to San Francisco to participate in the Bay to Breakers run. I have so many fond memories of you that I could go on forever, but like everyone else has written, it is your wonderful smile, great sense of humor and ability to liven up a room that will be missed by all the most.

I believe you knew that my family and I loved you very much, and are deeply saddened by your sudden departure from us. As noted above however, I believe your survivors, Jodie, McKenna and Dolton are suffering the most in this time of tragedy, and my family and I wish them all the best, and hope they know that they are in our thoughts.

Rest in peace, my dear dear friend.

Love,

Although Kevin is a cousin we've never actually met, we felt like we knew him from other family members who knew him well. It is indeed a sad time when someone so obviously loved by all, leaves behind loving parents, a sister and children. Our deepest prayers and sympathies are especially sent to JoAnne, Bill and Debbie and to his very young children.

I met Kevin only a couple of times. Both times were with my niece Jodie and their children, McKenna and Dalton. He seemed such a dedicated dad and husband and a great friend. He thought it was funny that I did not know how to deal with kids. He'd certainly be missed terribly. May his soul rest in peace.

My family and I have been deeply saddened by the loss of our close friend. I lived with Kevin for nearly 3 years at the University of Arizona and became very close friends. I watched him grown from a student, to a Marine, to a wonderful husband and a loving father. I shared many great experiences with Kevin and will always remember them fondly. He was the most driven, dedicated and honorable person I have known. Kevin will be sorely missed.

We send our condolences to Jodie, McKenna, Dalton and the Harrington family.

Kevin you are, were and always will be my friend. We had some great times, some wild times and a whole lot of fun. I am sorry that your journey here has ended so soon and suddenly, however I know one day we will be raising "you know what" once again. Thank you for driving the 2 plus hours from Yuma to meet me in San Diego in September, I am glad to have had that chance to see you once more. You were always happy go lucky and had such an infectious …sometimes aggravating, but always without conditions attitude about you. There are so many stories to tell and over the years I will recall them all, maybe even let your children in on our fun every now and then. Max, Dave, Heather and I are here to remember you and never let your kids forget who your were. Arizona is beautiful, I am sorry that my first trip was for this.

Rest in Peace my friend and enjoy eternity!

Kevin, I miss you and I hope we will meet again someday!

Dear Joanne,Bill, Debbie, Jodi & children:

Kevin, your departure from this world was sudden and unexpected and a shock to those who received the news. Reading through the guest book, I feel particularly sad that as your cousin I did not know you as others have. I have fond memories of the Christmas we spent visiting your mom and dad in Rockville and watching you and Debbie open your gifts. You were just a teenager and so full of life.

Memories of you are now precious gifts your family and friends will treasure forever.

May the God of Heaven enfold you in His Love for all eternity. Our thoughts and prayers are with your family.

It was such a shock to hear about Kevin's death. He was always so upbeat, and positive about things. My husband, Howard was a good friend of Kevin's, and a few months ago, Kevin drove 2 hours out of his way to visit my husband on a business trip he was on in CA. One of my fondest memories of Kevin was celebrating his 21st birthday with him at a bar in Baltimore, MD. The bouncer made him sing, I'm a little teapot" in order to get in, b/c it wasn't midnight yet, and his birthday was not until the next day. Kevin sang the song, complete with the dance, and was able to celebrate his 21st birthday a few hours early. I also remember having to sing to him, "You've lost that loving feeling" along with another friend, Heather in order to embarass him for his birthday. May you rest in peace, we miss you and love you!

He will remain a positive influence on my life, and a person I will long regret seeing pass. I send my families prayers to the Harrington's in this time of loss.
