William Montgomery Obituary

Montgomery, William R. Age 80 of Woodbury Passed away March 5, 2009 Survived by loving wife of 57 years, Elizabeth (Bette); also by children Lael Montgomery (Dennis Wanebo), Brian Montgomery, Mary Montgomery (Mike Lee), David (Pat) Montgomery, Paul Montgomery, Ellen Montgomery (Tim Miner), Tom Montgomery (Angela Lee); grandchildren Hannah, Tom, Grace, Noah, Amye, Jennifer, Lily, Kirby, Eric, Kristen, Amanda, Seth, Stella, Kristiane, Autumn, and twins Claire & Amelia; great-grandchildren Salem, Justice, and Kobi. Also survived by sister Katherine DeLong and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by sister Helen Gerdes and brother Jack Montgomery. Bill was a graduate of Harding High School class of '46. He served in the United States Marine Corps, then enjoyed a long career with the Northern Pacific /Burlington Northern Railroads. An active church member with a deep faith, Bill had a smile that could light up the heavens. Mass of Christian Burial at 11AM Saturday, March 14, 2009 at Guardian Angels Catholic Church, 8260 4th Street North, Oakdale. A Gathering of Family and Friends will take place immediately preceding Mass, from 9-11AM.
