Patricia Caniglia Obituary
On Wednesday, April 19, 2006, PAT CANIGLIA of Ft. Washington, MD. Beloved wife of Rocco Caniglia; loving mother of Michelle L., Nicola M. and Antonio F. Caniglia; and sister of Deborah L. Sode. Family and friends will be received on Tuesday at the HUNTT FUNERAL HOME, 3035 Old Washington Rd., Waldorf, MD from 5 to 8 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, April 26, 2006 at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 595 Third St., N.W., Washington, DC at 1 p.m. Interment will be held at the Maryland Veteran's Cemetery, Cheltenham, MD at 3 p.m.

We were shocked and saddened to hear of the events that led up to cousin Patricia's passing. Her viewing and funeral showed how many lives she touched! What a special and loving person she was! She will be missed by all who were fortunate to have known her! Cherish all the wonderful memories-I know I will! Cousin Patricia was truly an Angel placed here on this Earth! Dearest Rocco, Antonio, Michelle and Nicola,
Growing up I have many memories of visits to Mama Mia's as well as many others, I remember holding Antonia as a baby and I remember our Walker Family reunions and ohh how everybody loved to get together and laugh and catch up. We haven't seen each other in a while and I am sorry for that. When I heard the news my heart and love instantly went out to surround you during this most tragic of times. Your wife and mother always had a smile and we always enjoyed the little times we had with all of you. You are a very loving family and I know you will find the strength to keep going on one day a time. I am Donna's oldest daughter Missy and I will provide you with my email information, when you are ready or if you ever want to vent please reach out to me, I would love to have our family relationship grow stronger. I too lost my father at a young age, so while I can't possibly no all that you are experiencing, I have some idea. Please get in touch when you are ready, and please remember I am thinking of you and sending my prayers and hugs to each of you everyday.

Having experienced the passing of my mother, I know all the well wishes and kind words, however sincere, don't touch the pain in your hearts now and won't for a long time. The death of one so important in your lives changes you forever. You will wonder if your lives will ever go back to normal. As you realize that can never happen, in time you will come to find your new normal, and with much more time, your loss will become more tolerable, but there will always be a delicate spot in your hearts. God bless all of you and may you find comfort in each other.

I am extremely grateful to have been a member of the Walker family since 1965. Pat was my cousin through marriage and whether we saw each other frequently or not it was always so special to hug her & reminisce! We always laughed & got silly just like the old days. There are no words to express my grief & emotions to the family & the tragic, terribly loss it brings to all. We were absolutely devestated to hear about Pat's tragic passing. Our daughter Ashlie is just heartsick thinking about her Mama Mia's "mom" and how much she will miss her.
