I can't believe you're gone. I have so many memories with you and Demetrius from growing up together that I don't know what to say or do. It's too much for me to take right now. I can't bear two funerals, sitting there wondering which of our friends are next. I'm tired of losing you guys. I'm not going to be there to send home, but I have sent flowers, my thoughts and prayers to your family for them to find strength and meaning in this time of loss and pain. You presence will be greatly missed.

The memories of BJ and all his funny ways I will forever keep with me. You made the school day go by so fast by all your jokes and songs. There is nothing or no one who could ever replace the Bernard that I knew. May God rest your soul and place comfort in the lives of your loved ones. God I ask that you place your holy hands on the children of Bernard and protect them from any hurt, harm, and danger Lord. Cover them oh Lord, allow them not to suffer and mend all broken hearts. Lord look over Marquette and comfort him, mold him, although we know that it is not easy for him in this hour of grieving. May the hearts and souls of all the family and friends be repaired.

Bernard, all I have is memories of you and they were good memories, you were such loving, sweet and funny person. My family opened up their home to you whenever you needed somewhere to stay, and that is one of the things that I remember about you.I was so sorry to hear what happened to you. I feel so sorry for u and your family, but what I do know is that you are in a better place, there will never be another person around the way like you. God Bless you and we will all see each other again. LOVE YOU AND Marquett too. PEACE.

My mind still can not understand why someone so full of life was taken away so suddenly.. But we can not question God, he had other things in store for Bernard.
Marquette, just know that now your brother and mother are in heaven together watching over you. No one can ever feel your lose but just know I am here for you and your family all you have to do is call..

To Quett and Family
To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord Jesus.
My deepest desire for you is to seek the face of the Lord. The pain of Bert will never go away only become lightened. The Holly Spirit will make the pain bearable to continue living. Bert was noble, strong and sincere. As true homies Bert and Weedy are heavenly bound and safe forever more. My heart bleeds for the Brooks Family. Know, this too shall pass. Much love from Weedy's Mother.

BERNARD -
WHAT CAN I SAY THIS ALL SEEMS LIKE A BAD DREAM TO ME. I DON'T EVEN KNOW WHERE TO BEGIN. I HAVE SO MANY WONDERFUL MEMORIES OF YOU SINCE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL. YOUR LOVELY SENSE OF HUMOR, EVEN IF SOMEONE WAS HAVING A BAD DAY YOU ALWAYS KNEW HOW TO MAKE THEM LAUGH ANYWAY!
TO MARQUETTE & FAMILY-
BERNARD IS IN A SAFER PLACE NOW WHERE HE CAN TRULY BE AT PEACE. MY HEART GOES OUT TO YOU AND ANYONE ELSE WHO WERE FRIENDS WITH HIM THAT ARE GRIEVING DURING THIS DIFFICULT TIME. PLEASE KNOW THAT GOD WILL HELP YOU ALL GET THROUGH THIS ONE DAY AT A TIME! I EXTEND MY DEEPEST CONDOLENCES TO YOU ALL AND YOU'RE IN MY THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS!
QUETTE - DON'T HESITATE IF YOU NEED ANYTHING OR JUST EVEN WANT TO TALK, I'M HERE FOR YOU!
