Bernard Rogers Obituary
ROGERS BERNARD W. ROGERS "Bernie" Four Star General, USA (Ret.) On Monday, October 27, 2008 of McLean, VA. Beloved husband of Ann; loving father of Michael (Pat) Rogers, Diane (Steve) Opperman and Susan (Brent) Kroetch; brother of Enola Rogers of Topeka, KS and Dr. Robert Rogers of Shawnee Mission, KS. Also survived by six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Friends may call at the MURPHY FUNERAL HOME OF ARLINGTON, 4510 Wilson Blvd. on Monday, November 3 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Services 9 a.m. Tuesday, December 2, Ft. Myer Memorial Chapel and interment West Point Cemetery at a later date. Memorials may be made to the West Point Association of Graduates.

I did not know Gen Rogers obviously, but I did know his son, Mike, who was a regular guy and a good friend to all who knew him when we were together as a class at West Point. The apple does not fall far from the tree. May God bless this fine American family.
