Col. Augustin Mitchell Prentiss Jr.

PRENTISS AUGUSTIN MITCHELL PRENTISS, JR. Col. USAF (Ret.) On January 28, 2009 of Bethesda, Maryland. A 1937 Graduate of West Point where he received a BS degree. In 1957 he received from Harvard University a degree in advanced Management Programming and Business Administration. In 1965 he graduated from American University with a Masters Degree. From 1960 to 1981 he was a project Manager liason for Westinghouse, and was decorated with a Legion of Merit. He is the beloved husband of Corinne Phelps Prentiss; father of Gail Randolph Prentiss, Keith Randolph Prentiss and his wife Marely Ramirez Prentiss; stepfather of Stowell Robertson, Bruce Robertson, Corinna Imirie, and Glenn Robertson and his wife Marta Esposito; son of the late General Augustin Mitchell Prentiss, Sr. and his wife Anne Hull Prentiss of South Carolina; grandfather of Jason Miller, Kelly Paraskevas, Aaron Robertson, Brian Robertson, Lynette Robertson, Wesley Imirie, Adam Imirie, Valerie Tyeryar, Captain Shawn Robertson and Wesley Robertson. He is also survived by 11 Great Grandchildren. Friends will be received at PUMPHREY‘S BETHESDA CHEVY CHASE FUNERAL HOME 7557 Wisconsin Avenue Bethesda, Maryland Bethesda, Maryland on Wednesday February 4, 2009 from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Services with Full Mititary Honors will be held 11 a.m.Thursday April 30, 2009 at Fort Myer Chapel, Fort Myer, Virginia. Interment Arlington National Cemetery.
