HOPKINS DUANE S. HOPKINS, JR. "D.J." (Age 16) On Monday, February 2, 2009 of Temple Hills, MD. Loving son of Duane and Tracy Hopkins; beloved brother of Toni (Desmond), Tiffany, Morgan, Jennifer and Samantha; devoted grandson of Oakley and Marlene Hopkins. Cherished nephew of Dale, Tammy, Melody, Donna, Daryl, Bobby, Ron and Jeff. Also survived by a host of other relatives and friends. Family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 10, 2009 at Community of Hope at Iverson Mall, Lower Level, 3701 Branch Ave, Temple Hills, MD. from 9 a.m. until time of funeral service at 11 a.m. Interment Resurrection Cemetery. To DJ's Mom, we have our unique relationship by sharing your son with my sons. DJ will always be a household name in my home because he was here almost everyday. He was our entertainment, source of information, and mainly another brother from another mother. He will be sorely missed we will continue to pray for you and your family. Love always

DJ you are deeply loved and your physical presence will be deeply missed, but your spirit will live on forever. God had more important work for you, so he called you home. To the family, God loves you all, and he will carry you through this most difficult time. God does not make any mistakes, and all of our paths are laid before we even appear in this earthly journey. Duane is safe now in the arms of God. To DJ's mother, I love you sister, and cannot imagine your pain, and I pray for God to hold you tight. Your District Heights Community family will miss DJ, but we will hold him in our heart.
