I did not know Churchill Gibson personally but have met him briefly and heard him speak several times at Shrine Mont, and now my son has befriended his grandson at Shrine Mont Camp. Despite only having seen him a few times, his amazing faith, outlook, and way of inspiring and touching people has stuck with me all these years. The world has lost a great saint, and he will be sorely missed. There is definitely another angel in Heaven.

My assistant from my former office called me today to tell me the news. How sad. I have known Rev. Gibson and his fine family for so many years. It was always uplifting to see him at the office. A nice, affable, pleasant person with a positive outlook on life and a kind demeanor. My heart goes out to his family who I know will miss him so much. Since I retired I have not been able to keep up with my old friends and learn of the joys and sadness in their lives. He will be missed.

I will always Love Churchill Gibson. His Life exemplified the life of the one he served. How many stories do we all have? Exceptional human being. I will not miss him because he is one of those who dwells with in you.

Kirk ("Q" ;->) - Sorry to hear about your dad. While I didn't know your dad other than from meeting him at RMC, my folks did through VTS Alum activities. The tales they shared about mutual experiences and friends said much about your dad; as much as his guidance in who and where you are in life. He truly must have been a special person. Aloha nui loa.

The love and respect that Churchill shared with us as students and campers at Shrine Mont will never part from my being. I can even recite his God Loves Me I Love Me God Loves You I Love You chant from the days of Choir Camp--1977

Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you. I was blessed to have him be a part of my life since childhood and to have the support he gave to my mother and me in the celebration of my Dad's life will always be remembered.
