Edward Hirsch Obituary

Hirsch, Edward Brigadier General, USA (Ret.) Of Alexandria, VA died on October 13, 2007 of natural causes. Edward was preceded in death by his wife Marciene Hirsch; devoted father of Kenneth and Nancy Hirsch of Honolulu, HI and Larry and Kathy Hirsch of Alexandria, VA; loving granddad of Jennifer, Andrew and Keith Hirsch. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services with full military honors will be held at the Ft. Myer Post Chapel on December 28, 2007 at 11:00 am. Interment to follow at Arlington National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Zachary Fisher House, 6900 Georgia Avenue, N.W. Building 56, Washington, DC 20307. Mr. Zachary Fisher established the Fisher House Foundation in 1990 to provide "homes away from home" for veterans in need of long-term medical treatment and rehabilitation. The homes provide temporary residences for veterans and their families.
