Luther W. Jones

Luther Wayne Jones, 45, of Wytheville died Friday, Aug. 15, 2008. A memorial service was held Monday, Aug. 18, at 8 p.m. at Bakers Chapel Pentecostal Holiness Church with the Rev. Jim Tunnell officiating. A graveside service was held Tuesday, Aug. 19, at 11 a.m. at the Mt. Zion United Methodist Church Cemetery. He was born Nov. 16, 1962, in Wythe County. He attended Huddle United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by a sister, Rebecca Lynn Fisher. Survivors include his parents, Luther B. and Dorothy L. Waller Jones of Wytheville; four nieces, Stacy Fisher, Holly Fisher, Crystal Fisher and Cherish Fisher, all of Crockett, Texas; and special friend, Treva Crider. Reese Funeral Home in Austinville was in charge of the arrangements.
