Elsie Nadine Sexton

Elsie Nadine Sexton, 76, of Abingdon, passed away Friday, Oct. 31, 2008, at the home of her daughter at Abingdon Mini Warehouses. Mrs. Sexton enjoyed playing the lottery, word search books, puzzles and especially playing Yahtzee with her great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her daughter, Johnnie Boyd in 1995; her parents, John and Mattie Lamie; first husband, Richard Poore; second husband, Albert Sexton; and a very special companion, Kenneth "Slick" Deckard; brother, Charlie Lamie; sisters, Mabel Parsons, Gladys Haga, Daisy Sweeney, Louise Lane, Billie Kennedy, and Lettie Smith and her very special son-in-law, James Reynolds who passed away this past January. Survivors include two daughters, Donna Haefer of Lorain, Ohio, and Doris Reynolds of Abingdon; an estranged son, David Jenkins of Virginia; 10 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; brothers John Lamie of Jewell Valley, Va., and Howard Lamie of Saltville; and sisters Leona Stanley of Narrows, Va., and Eva Justice and Betty Kennedy, both of Princeton, W.Va. The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to Pam, Mary, "Mona" Lisa and Christie of Hospice of Norton.
