William Ralph "Bill" Blevins

William Ralph "Bill" Blevins, 67, of Lebanon, previously of Broadford, loving husband, devoted father and adored grandfather died during the early morning hours of Nov. 2 at Johnston Memorial Hospital due to heart complications as a result of a pulmonary embolism. He was a retired sales supervisor with Earthgrains (Rainbo) Baking Company with 34 years of experience. He was a graduate of Rich Valley High School. His mother and father, Annie Ruth Taylor-Blevins and John L. Blevins, and older brother, James Eugene Blevins, preceded Bill in death. Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Ann Minton Blevins; two sons, William Michael Blevins and wife, Glenda Paulette Blevins, of Lebanon, and Joshua Vaughn Betts of Lebanon; three beautiful granddaughters, Brenda Lynann Blevins, Baylee Madison Betts and Reygan Nicole Betts; mother-in-law, Lois Minton, of Saltville; sister-in-law, Patsy Blevins; nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles; and close friends. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 5, at Henderson's Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Kenny Howard of the Allison Gap First Church of God and the Rev. David Mumpower officiating. Burial will follow in the Taylor family Cemetery. The family received friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Tuesday evening at the funeral home or at 902 West Main St. in Saltville at any time. D.R. Henderson Funeral Home in Saltville is in charge of arrangements.
