Julie C. "Kat" Jennings, 76, died Tuesday, Nov. 11, 2008. Funeral service was held Friday, Nov. 14, at 11 a.m. at the Barnett Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Harvey Atkinson officiating. Interment was in St. Peter's Cemetery on St. Peter's Road in Cripple Creek. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ollie Jonas Jennings and Marvin "Shug" Jennings; and two brothers, Earshell Jennings and Whid Jennings. Survivors include a brother and sister-in-law, Luther Hube and June R. Jennings of Richmond; two sisters, Nadine J. Banton of Mechanicsville and Linda J. Parrish of Chester; two sisters-in-law, Jeanette Jennings of Rockville, Md., and Merle Jennings of Chester; and several nieces and nephews. Barnett Funeral Home in Wytheville was in charge of the arrangements.
