Opal Owens Keith

Opal Owens Keith, 83, died Friday, Nov. 14, 2008 at Francis Marion Manor in Marion. She was born in Smyth County to the late James Luther and Beulah Norman Owens, and was also preceded in death by her husband, William F. Keith, and her brother, Ralph Owens. She was a member of Pleasant Hill Lutheran Church for over 50 years. Survivors include two brothers and sisters-in-law, Roy Owens and wife, Ella, of Groseclose; Elmer Owens and wife, Virginia, of Groseclose; sister-in-law, Irene Owens of Groseclose; and many special nieces and nephews. Funeral services were conducted on Monday afternoon, Nov. 17, at 2 p.m., at Bradley's Funeral Home Chapel in Marion with the Rev. Jonathan Hamman, the Rev. Ed Shaack and Brian Chaffee officiating. Interment followed in Roselawn Cemetery. The family received friends on Sunday evening from 5:30 until 7:30 at the funeral home.
