Eugene E. Brunk Sr.

Eugene Earnest Brunk Sr., 58, of Bland died Sunday, Nov. 16, 2008. Funeral service will be held Wednesday, Nov. 19, at 7 p.m. at Central United Methodist Church with the Revs. Scott Childress and Bobby Lorton officiating. A graveside service will be held Thursday, Nov. 20, at 1 p.m. at the Thompson Family Cemetery in Ceres. He was born Nov. 5, 1950, in Bland. He was preceded in death by his father, Marvelle Steven Brunk. Survivors include his wife, Judy T. Brunk of Bland; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Eugene Earnest Jr. and Carol Brunk of Rocky Gap, James Franklin Brunk of Bland; his mother, Maria B. Harmon of Bland; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Betty and Bill Davis, Clara B. and Jim Dalton, Sandra B. and Sam Thompson, all of Bland; four brothers and sisters-in-law, Johnny and Betsy Brunk of Ceres, Mike Brunk of Wytheville, Matt and Drema Harman of Bland, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Brunk of Pulaski; special brother-in-law, John Davis; several nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends. The body will be taken to the church where the family will receive friends Wednesday, Nov. 19, from 5 to 7 p.m. (service time). Highland Bland Funeral Chapel in Bland is in charge of the arrangements.
