Linda Darnell Jackson

Mrs. Linda Darnell Jackson, age 59, of Richlands, Va., passed away Sun., Nov. 16, 2008 at her home following a brief illness. She was born in Richlands, Va., and was the daughter of the late Herman and Lena Houchins Shelton. She had made her home in the Richlands, Va., area all of her life and was of the Holiness faith. Survivors are: husband: Gary Jackson; two daughters: Penny Renee Shelton of the home, Ciji Jackson of Richlands, Va.; one son: Scotty Joyce of the home; two sisters: Emilee Madison of Baltimore, Md., Shirley Shelton of the home; one brother: Herman Edward Shelton of Raven, Va.; two grandchildren: Tyler Joyce and Britney Puckett; two nephews: Darrell Messer and wife, Phyllis, of Swords Creek, Va., and Marvin Messer and wife, Linda, of Pounding Mill, Va.; and one niece: Sandy Hodock of Raven, Va.; and her beloved puppy: Maggie also survive. Funeral services for Linda Darnell Jackson will be conducted Wed., Nov. 19, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Chapel in Richlands, Va., with the Rev. Phillip Horton officiating. Interment will follow at Greenhills Memory Gardens in Claypool Hill, Va. Pallbearers will be: Bill Lester, Tyler Joyce, Marvin Messer, Billy Lester, Roy Griffith, Jack Jackson, and Dave Cordle.
