Vennie Osborne

Vennie Osborne, 57, of Glade Spring passed away Friday, Nov. 21, 2008, at her residence.  She was a life long resident of Washington County, and was the daughter of the late Clyde and Nellie Thomas.  She was a retired nurse's aide and enjoyed farming.  In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a grandson, Alex Testerman, a brother, Harold Thomas, and a niece, Melinda Thomas. She is survived by her husband, Kenneth D. Osborne Sr., of Marion; one daughter, Marsha Testerman of Glade Spring; two sons, Kenneth D. Osborne Jr. and his wife, Donna, of Meadowview and John Allen Osborne of Glade Spring; four sisters, Opal Thomas, of Meadowview, Nancy Wyatt and Lulla Doss, both of Marion and Ellaruth Rash of Glade Spring; seven grandchildren, Jessica Osborne, Oryan Testerman, Vianna Surber, John Allen Osborne Jr., Christopher Anderson, Danielle Teaster and Christina Cline; two great-grandchildren, Jaylen Teaster and Savanna Cline; two special friends, David Taylor and Timothy Hancock; and several nieces and nephews. The funeral service was conducted Nov. 25 at the graveside at Grosses Creek Cemetery in Chilhowie with Pastor Tracy Puckett officiating.  Pallbearers were David Morris, Harold Perry, Oryan Testerman, Timothy Hancock, Kenneth D. Osborne Jr. and Christopher D. Anderson.  David Taylor servef as an honorary pallbearer.  Mrs. Osborne and her family are in the care of Garrett Funeral Home, 203 N. Shady Street, Damascus.
