Carleen Murray Clark, 74, died Thursday, Nov. 27, 2008 at Smyth County Community Hospital in Marion after a courageous fight with cancer. She was born in Groseclose to the late Jerry and Corgie E. Murray and was preceded in death by two brothers, Allen Murray and Daniel Ralph Murray. She was employed with District Three Governmental Cooperative for the past 12 years. She was a member of the East End Baptist Church. Survivors include husband of 55 years, James Clark; one sister, Bonnie Barker of Marion; sisters- in-law, Marlene Murray of Marion, Christine Catron and husband, Buddy, of Glade Spring; brother-in-law, Charles Morris of Atkins; sister-in-law, Lettie Clark of Kissimmee, Fla.; nieces, Phyllis Berry and husband, Richard, Tammy Harrison, Revonda Byrd and husband, Gary, Kim Morris; nephew, Dennis Barker and wife, Golda; great-nieces, Christy Bise, Sherry Wolfe, Jessica Gass; great-great-niece, Abigail Bise; great-nephew, Trevor Richardson; and special loved ones, Lulu and Wolfie. The family received friends Sunday, Nov. 30, from 6 until 8 p.m. at Bradley's Funeral Home where funeral services were held at 8 p.m. with the Rev. Tim Parker, the Rev. Grady Byrd and George Palmer officiating. Graveside services were conducted at 11 a.m. Monday at Rosewood Memorial Gardens Mausoleum in Rural Retreat.    In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 246, Abingdon, VA 24212 or to East End Baptist Church, 414 Groseclose St., Marion, VA 24354. Expressions of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.bradleysfh.com. Bradley's Funeral Home, Marion, was in charge of arrangements.
