Kenneth Percy Devault Jr.

Kenneth Percy Devault Jr., 70, died Monday, Dec. 8, 2008 at his home. He was born in Wisconsin to the late Kenneth P. Devault Sr. and Katherine Marie Devault and was preceded in death by a brother, Wolford Devault, and a sister, Diane Elkins. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and was a member of the Pentecostal Holiness Church in Vinton. Survivors include his wife, Mary Firestone Devault; one son, Daniel Devault; stepchildren, Mary Stevens, Elijah Payne Sr., Judy Underwood, John Payne Sr., Jack Payne Jr., Elizabeth Payne, Paul Wells Jr., and Clyde Bishop Belton Jr.; nephew, Wayne Elkins; niece, Elizabeth Crosby; nine step-grandchildren; and one step-great-grandchild. Funeral services were conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 11, at Bradley's Funeral Home Chapel in Marion with the Rev. Jack Payne and the Rev. Ralph Parker officiating. Interment followed in Attoway Cemetery with full military honors rendered by Francis Marion VFW Post 4667.
