Norman Arthur Eshelman

Norman Arthur Eshelman, 78, died Monday, Jan. 5, 2009 in Francis Marion Manor in Marion. He was born on Aug. 14, 1930 and was preceded in death by a daughter, Marie Sparks. He had been employed with the Town of Marion for several years. Survivors include his wife, Mary Eshelman; three grandchildren, Fred Sparks Jr., Mary Sparks and Norman Sparks; and one great-grandchild, Zackery Sparks. Funeral services were conducted Thursday, Jan. 8, at 3 p.m. at Bradley's Funeral Home in Marion with Pastor Jerry Creasy and the Rev. Joe Powers officiating. The family received friends from 2 until 3 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions can be made to the Norman Eschelman Memorial Fund, P.O. Box 250, Chilhowie, VA 24354.
