Helen Sisk

Helen Sisk, age 72 of Pine Creek, Va., passed away Wed., Jan. 7, 2009 at her home following a brief illness. Born Jan. 31, 1936 in Buchanan County, Va., she was the daughter of the late Bud and Cynthia Lockhart. She was of the Holiness faith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James P. Sisk; one daughter, Mary Jane Sisk; several brothers and sisters; and two great-grandchildren. She is survived by two sons, Gene Sisk of Raven and Leon Sisk of Doran; three daughters, Harriet Nicewander of Richlands, Linda Deskins of Belfast and Margaret Gillespie of Doran; one sister, Lorraine Cox of Oakwood; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were conducted at 2:00 p.m. Sun., Jan. 11, 2009 at Singleton Funeral Service Chapel at Cedar Bluff, Va., with Pastor Shane Breeding officiating. Burial followed in the Greenhills Memory Gardens at Claypool Hill, Va. Family and friends served as pallbearers.
