Ona W. Fulford

Ona Louise Wright Fulford, 79, of Bland, the Hollybrook community, died Wednesday, Jan. 7, 2009, at her home. A memorial service was held Saturday, Jan. 10, at 2 p.m. at A. Vest & Sons Funeral Home with the Rev. Danny Shortridge officiating. She was born June 22, 1929, at Bland, daughter of the late Alvis Edward and Verenna Ramsey Wright. She was preceded in death by her husband, Estal Woodrow Fulford; sister, Connie Josephine Snider; and three brothers, Tony Wright, Alvis Wright and Leslie Wright. Survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law, Todd and Denese Fulford of Montcalm, W.Va., Bobby and Donna Fulford of Rock, W.Va., Barry Fulford of Bland and Tina F. Brewster of Bland; four sisters, Mamie Ruth Faulkner, Joy Tate, Lovada Gusler and Carolyn Ramsey, all of Bland; five grandchildren, Michael Fulford, Kayla Fulford, Stephanie Fulford and Heather Sargent; and three great-grandchildren, Eric Sargent, Elizabeth Sargent and Valeska Fulford. A. Vest & Sons Funeral Home in White Gate was in charge of the arrangements.
