Mary Lou Mabe, age 88 of Richlands, Va., went home to be with her heavenly father, Fri., Jan. 23, 2009 in a local Richlands, Va., hospital following a brief illness. Mary was born in Hawkins County, Tenn., and she was the daughter of the late, Martin and Maggie Florence Pruitt Jeter, former Tazewell County natives. She had spent her life being a full time homemaker, dedicating herself to her family so she could lead and guide them as they grew. Mary was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother and friend, she liked spending time sewing, crocheting, making crafts and when she could, visiting those who were sick and praying for them. She was of the Pentecostal Holiness faith, a life time resident of Tazewell County and was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She brought love into many lives and she will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Clarence W. "Bill Buck" Mabe; sons, Clarence Andrew Mabe, Edward Martin Mabe; one brother; three half sisters; two half brothers; and four grandchildren, Elaina Lee Baldwin, Curtis Baldwin, Jr., Elaina Mabe and Anthony Aaron Baldwin.
