Michael F. Tucker

Michael Fredrick Tucker, 58, of Johnson City, Tenn., died Wednesday, Feb. 4, 2009, at his residence. A memorial service will be held Saturday, Feb. 7, at 2 p.m. at the North Chapel of the Morris-Baker Funeral Home with Pastor Julia Tucker-Lloyd officiating. He was a native of Johnson City, Tenn., and was a former member of the University of Tennessee swim team, the Wytheville Jaycees and the Wytheville Golf Club. He was a graduate of East Tennessee State University and was a member of Central Baptist Church. He was a former partner of Tucker Pontiac-Buick Inc. in Wytheville and Courtesy Motors in Erwin, Tenn. He was preceded in death by his father, Matthew Tucker; and a sister, Nancy Ann Sanders. Survivors include his mother, Jean S. Tucker of Johnson City, Tenn.; a son, Michael Scott Tucker of Jonesborough, Tenn.; three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Matthew B. Tucker of Johnson City, Tenn., Walter "Rick" and Brenda Tucker of Wytheville, Robert T. "Tommy" and Ella Tucker of Ada, Mich.; and several nieces and nephews.
