Ronald Bouknight

Ronald Bouknight, 52, of Roanoke, formerly of Wytheville, died Friday, Jan. 30, 2009. A memorial service will be held Thursday, Feb. 12, at 1 p.m. at the Bethel A.M.E. Church with the Revs. Samuel Patterson and Leonard Davis officiating. Interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery. He was born Aug. 10, 1956, in New York. He was preceded in death by his mother, Nora Blackwell; and his father, Matthew Bouknight, who died Sunday, Feb. 8, 2009. Survivors include his wife, Johanna Lynn Johnson of Elk Creek; a daughter, Nora Latriece Bouknight of Roanoke; two sisters, Nannette Bouknight of Newport News and Yvette Blackwell; and a grandchild, Deveigh Kamara. The family will receive friends Thursday, Feb. 12, from noon to 1 p.m. (service time) at the church.
