Carol Morehead

Carol Morehead, 71, of Wytheville died Tuesday, March 3, 2009. Funeral service was held Saturday, March 7, at 11 a.m. at West End United Methodist Church with the Rev. Randy Morris officiating. Interment was in West End Cemetery. She was born Dec. 23, 1937, in Wytheville daughter of the late James and Elsie Caudle Pickett. She attended West End United Methodist Church. She worked at the law firm of Campbell, Young & Hodges for 20 years and another 28 years in the same office for the law firm of Trenton G. Crewe Jr. She is survived by her husband, James Rolen "J.R." Morehead of the home; a brother, Larry Pickett of Northern Virginia; six brothers and sisters-in-law, Frank and Virginia Morehead of Bland, Gilbert and Ola Morehead of Bland, Frances M. Crockett of Wytheville, Jean M. Morehead of Wytheville, Paul D. Morehead of Bland, Opal and Jim Strouse of Fairfax; and many other relatives and friends. Barnett Funeral Home in Wytheville was in charge of the arrangements.
