Phillip Edward Quesenberry, 66, of Barren Springs died Monday, June 8, 2009. Funeral service will be held Wednesday, June 10, at 2 p.m. at the Riverview Church of God with the Rev. Raymond White officiating. Interment will be in the Alderman Cemetery with Grover King Post 1115 VFW conducting graveside military rites. He was born Aug. 26, 1942, in Pulaski County, son of the late Kermit and Rosie Duncan Quesenberry. He was a member of the Riverview Church of God and was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War. He was preceded in death by five brothers, Buster Quesenberry, Tommy Quesenberry, Artie Quesenberry, Bobbie Quesenberry and Leon Quesenberry. Survivors include his wife, Ruby Alderman Quesenberry of the home; a daughter and son-in-law, Sheila A. and Gary E. Wheeler of Barren Springs; a son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth E. and Melanie S. Quesenberry of Wytheville; a daughter, Lisa Spencer of Wytheville; six grandchildren, Jeremy Wheeler, Seth Wheeler, Eden Quesenberry, Cansas Crotts, Jared Crotts and Logan Spencer; four brothers and sisters-in-law, Jack and Kathy Quesenberry, Lonnie and Barbara Quesenberry, Richard and Brenda Quesenberry, all of Hiwassee, and Roger Quesenberry of Pulaski; four sisters and brothers-in-law, Alice and Rick Arnold of Hiwassee, Barbara and Rodney Scott of Snowville, Dixie Crockett of Petersburg and Nora Quesenberry of Hiwassee; a sister-in-law, Clara Quesenberry; all the Alderman family; and many special friends. Reese Funeral Home in Austinville is in charge of the arrangements.
