James Allen "Jimmy" Crutchfield

James Allen "Jimmy" Crutchfield, 68, died June 3, 2009 at his home in Chilhowie. He was a funeral director, embalmer, and part owner of Williams Funeral Home in Chilhowie for over 45 years. Survivors include his wife, Anna Sue Blevins Crutchfield; one son, Travis A. Crutchfield and wife, Sandy, of Chilhowie; one daughter, Tracy C. Jones and husband, Allen, of Chilhowie; grandchildren, Logan Crutchfield, Ashley and Kaylee, Jeris Doane and Nick Yonts, Lindsay Lewis and husband, Matthew, and Jaron Doane all of Chilhowie; one sister, June C. Aker and husband, Bob; father-in-law, Harold Lee Blevins Sr.; one aunt, Patsy Aker; one uncle, P.R. "Cotton" Crutchfield and, wife Leona; very special friend, John A. Williams Jr.; and several cousins and numerous good friends. Funeral services were conducted at 7 p.m., Friday, June 5, at Williams Funeral Home in Chilhowie with the Rev. Dr. David St.Clair, Rev. Frank Branson, and Rev. Wesley Eller officiating. Burial was private in the cemetery on the family farm. The family received friends from 5-7 p.m. Friday prior to the funeral service at the funeral home. Flowers appreciated or donations to the cemetery fund of your choice. Williams Funeral Home, Chilhowie was in charge of arrangements.
