Patsy Lou Hunt

Patsy Lou Hunt, loving mother, grandmother, devoted sister and friend, died on June 25, 2009. She was born on Oct. 2, 1942 to the late James and India Bentley in Saltville. She was also predeceased by her son, Dewey Lynn Hunt, and two brothers, Charles F. Coe and Melvin E. Bentley. She was employed by Camp Dogwood for the blind, Sherrills Ford, N.C., until she was retired by disability in 1994. She was most recently a resident of Valley Health Care Center in Chilhowie. Survivors include her husband, Dewey Otto Hunt of Seven Mile Ford; two daughters, Tracy Diane Branson of Saltville and Jody Hunt Merritt of Rock Hill, S.C.; one son, James Hunt of Sherrills Ford, N.C.; three sisters, Betty J. White of Bristol, Tenn., Peggy C. Crawford of Mt. Airy, N.C., and Cathy A. Boardwine of Marion; four brothers, James Bentley Jr. of Morganton, N.C., John W. Bentley of Hickory, N.C., Rodney A. Bentley of Stanley, N.C. and Danny Lee Bentley of Saltville; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and her many friends and associates. Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, June 29, at D.R. Henderson Funeral Home with the Rev. David Neitch officiating. Burial followed in the Mount Rose Cemetery.
