Thomas Jackson Sheppard

Thomas Jackson Sheppard, 80, died Monday, June 29, 2009 at his daughter's home in Marion. He was a member of the Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by his wife, Nannie Sheppard, parents, Margie and Thomas Sheppard, brothers, Van Sheppard and Sam Sheppard. Survivors include his sons, Mark Sheppard and fiancée, Kim, of Abingdon, and Oaksey Rickman and wife, Donna, of Meadowview; daughter, Rose Alexander and husband, Bob, of Marion; four sisters, Betty Cornett, Evelyn Lee, Mary Weir and husband, Scott, all of Saltville, and Hilda Cannon and husband, Johnny, of Glade Spring; brother, Roy Lee Sheppard of Saltville; five grandchildren, Victoria, Julie, Audrey, Adrienne, and Justin; two great-grandchildren, Haylee, and Emilee; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 1, at Henderson Funeral Home with Pastor Phillip Harris officiating. Burial will follow in the Mount Rose Cemetery in Glade Spring.
