Linda Lou Ellen Deel

Linda Lou Ellen Deel, age 61 of Richlands, Va., passed away Thurs., June 25, 2009 at her home. Born Feb. 21, 1948 in Tazewell County, Va., she was the daughter of the late Doyle Robert and Helen Lucille Coe Shamblin. She was a member of Casey-Shortt VFW Post 9640 Ladies Auxiliary. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Bobby and David. She is survived by one son, Robert James (Robby) Deel of Ocala, Fla.; one sister, Becky Shamblin and fiancé, Paul Brooks, of Richlands; fiancé, Clinton Jennings; one nephew, Matthew Hurt and wife, Heather, of Abingdon; one niece, Renee MacNeil and husband, Patrick, of Johnson City, Tenn.; two grand nephews, Ashton Shane Hurt and Brett Codie Nunn; one aunt, Cora Blankenship. A memorial service was conducted at 2:00 p.m. Sun., June 28, 2009 at Singleton Funeral Service Chapel at Cedar Bluff, Va., with Rev. Bill Fletcher officiating. Friends called after 1:00 p.m. Sunday.
